We used to call him "Uncle" everyone admired him for his being humorous and funny all time. Wherever he'd appeared the atmosphere was as cheerful as a gaily relaxed party.
On a winter day some year, we wanted to celebrate a business victory, someone proposed to have a big 燒酒雞 feast. Uncle came in center and front saying no, no, no, with his head and hands slowly turning left and right, shaking.
"I had a chicken pet when I was a kid. My heart sank and I burst into tears the day my mother put her on the dish. No, no, no, never would I eat chicken for rest of my life." adds Uncle, again, shaking his head and hands much more firmly.
That was the first and only time that Uncle saying No to everyone as I can recall.
